I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to work with Vlisco fabrics. Vlisco is the premier African fabric producer so this is obviously beyond major!

The Dashiki is so popular now and as an African, that makes me proud. But first just a little history about the original design that all began with Vlisco.

The Dashiki design, also known as Angelina, was inspired by 19th century Ethiopian tunics. The design was created 50 years by Toon van de Manakker for Vlisco; it is a true Original Vlisco design.

Vlisco just launched the Dashiki in a brand new colors and I got to design three outfits using the new light blue hue. This was such an exciting process especially with an iconic design. Over the next week I will be uploading different looks.

I'm beyond excited to share the first look with you! This is a sexy outfit that I will definitely be wearing to parties this festive season. Check out Vlisco for my interview with them!

This was a shoot I did a couple weeks ago. It almost did not make it. I was so conflicted with my poses for this shoot. It is definitely one of those - you're not a model you're a blogger - internal conflicts. Like - what am I doing with my face in these shots ?!

But any way if I've got to be able to laugh at myself so enjoy the shots! :)
