Wooden Wristwatch

I do this silly thing where I disappear for one month, come back, apologize and then do it again. Real life gets in the way of keeping my posts on this blog consistent. But I am so so grateful for the loyalty of all my readers from around the world.

This Asos dress is my idea of an easy breezy wedding guest outfit. Simple accessories like my ring and wrist watch complete the look. I haven't fallen in love with a watch in ages. I am obsessed with this JORD watch because it's different - the wrist band is made out of real wood.

Dress: Designed by Me

There's a shop that I drive by every morning on my way to work. I saw a dress in there and wanted to put my own spin on it. I used two different pieces of fabric from Vlisco. Finding the perfect contrast for the bow took a bit of courage. I was not sure of how the two fabrics would look together but I just went for it and it works - for me.

The only downside to this dress - securing that bow...hence the safety pin ;)

I love this slinky halter maxi dress. It is so effortlessly sexy. It is a great substitute for the usual short bandage dress you would wear to a trendy lounge/bar. I added this strappy pair of sandals for a pop of color and headed out for drinks on a chill night out with my bestie!
